چکیده

Systematic and multifactor risk models are revisited via methods which were already successfully developed in signal processing and in automatic control. The results, which bypass the usual criticisms on those risk modeling, are illustrated by several successful computer experiments. The impact of growth options on systematic risk: The case of European firms

This paper focuses on an analysis of the relation between systematic risk and growth opportunities from the real options perspective. Assuming the risk of current and future businesses to be independent from ownership (i.e. from whichever firm invests in them), we deduce that the systematic risk of a firm’s equity depends on the weight of growth options on its market value. We test this hypothe...

The Effectiveness of the Models and Guidelines on Detecting High-Risk Pregnancies: A Systematic Review

Background: The models or guidelines that make it possible for pregnant mothers to diagnose high-risk pregnancy signs and symptoms are not clearly stated. This systematic review was conducted to answer the question: what models/guidelines have contributed to women’s knowledge/performance regarding the detection of high-risk pregnancy?   Method: This systematic review uses the Preferred Reporti...

Caries risk assessment models in caries prediction.

OBJECTIVE The aim of this research was to assess the efficiency of different multifactor models in caries prediction. MATERIALS AND METHODS Data from the questionnaire and objective examination of 109 examinees was entered into the Cariogram, Previser and Caries-Risk Assessment Tool (CAT) multifactor risk assessment models. Caries risk was assessed with the help of all three models for each p...

Fast Simulation of Multifactor Portfolio Credit Risk

This paper develops rare event simulation methods for the estimation of portfolio credit risk — the risk of losses to a portfolio resulting from defaults of assets in the portfolio. Portfolio credit risk is measured through probabilities of large losses, which are typically due to defaults of many obligors (sources of credit risk) to which a portfolio is exposed. An essential element of a portf...

High level Ab inito bench mark computaions on weak interactions (H2)2 dimer revisited

The Potential Energy Surface PES of (H2)2 dimer has been investigated, using five simple rigid rotor models. These models are called: head to head, symmetric side to side, L , steplike and T model. All calculations were done at two levels of ab initio  methods: MP2(Full) and QCISD (T,Full) using cc-pVTZ basis set at singlet state of spin multiplicity. The results of scanning PES were then fitte...
